- Build: fine motor fun as students form letters out of play dough.
- Trace: visual reminder of letters as students trace the words in two ways: within an outline of the word and dotted on a primary writing line.
- Write: practice for students to write the sight words on their own, with the aid of letter boxes and once more on a primary writing line.
- Read: review of multiple sight words by finding the target word within a list (each mat has the same words in mixed order).
- Find letters: identity activity for students to pick out the letters that are in each word, which can help with spelling.
